On new Trails through the Himalayas away from the main trekking paths -
You may not want to follow the same way as others do, rather prefer the variation that provides you with a solitude and the proximity to the local population and their culture on your own approach. If you discover new things and want to learn about what goes beyond the usual, then this could be accommodated while scheduling your tour proposal. Trekking areas far from the standard Annapurna, Langtang and Khumbu routes, however, always require a little more flexibility, be it about the flights, camping areas or weather conditions. Seasonal availability of water also matters. But we promise a more adventure and a higher value for your travel experience.
Again, in these tours, we fit your personal and temporal preference. Basically, a licensed and experienced guide accompanies you. He/she informs you in detail about everything worth knowing and also accommodates your special requests: an extra day off, a small detour to an interesting point to visit or just relax. Your main luggage as well as the necessary camping equipments are carried by friendly and helpful porters.
Lodge Trekking (even for single travellers)
You stay in local guest houses (lodges, Teahouse) which we have already checked for you and found according to strict quality criteria. The selected trekking routes run primarily on trade routes offering magnificent views of village cultures and farming landscapes e.g. Annapurna, Khumbu (Everest region), Langtang etc. Weather conditions may vary as per the seasonal phenomenon. In winter, at altitudes from 3,000 m, temperature drops below the freezing point mainly at night. Snow is possible. Altitudes over 5,000 m should not be underestimated, even if no technical prerequisites are required. Some days for acclimatization are needed from the altitudes of 3,000 m.
Camping Trekking (min. 2 persons)
It doesn’t necessarily follow the normal trekking routes and schedules. Trekkers spend nights in tents which are fixed in conducive areas. Thus, this kind of trekking offers much wider coverage of tours. The complete camping equipments like tents, kitchen equipment, mattresses, table/chairs, etc. will be provided by us. Your support team will comprise of highly trained guides, cooks, sherpas, kitchen boys and porters. Some of the areas served under this class are Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Dolpo, Ganesh, Jumla, Kanchanjunga, Khumbu (Everest region), Langtang, and Mustang
The trekking season runs from late September to late May. From June to early September is monsoon period in Nepal. Only rain shadow areas such as Dolpo and Mustang are recommended in summer. The high seasons are October, November and from late March to mid May which are .ideal for altitudes of around 5,000 m up to 6,000 m. From January to mid February, trekking areas at an altitude of around 3,500 m are quite cold because the night temperatures drop well below freezing point and hence, camping trips are not suitable. However, lodge trekking is recommended as weather seems quite clear. Also, this would be a best time for a cultural trip especially in the terai (Chitwan, Lumbini). In the valleys like Kathmandu, Pokhara, the weather is pleasant during spring.
